Thanks to their graphic lyrical depictions of Satan worship, serial killers, and the horrors of war, the California thrash act has long enjoyed a well-earned notoriety—not to mention sold-out concert tours and album sales numbering in the millions. Guitarist Jeff Hanneman, one of the band’s founders and principal songwriters, died Thursday of liver failure. He was 49 years old.DOWNLOAD

Heartfelt thanks for the worldwide showing of love and respect for Richie. This is a very difficult time for everyone and knowing you're all right here with us is tremendously moving. As per his very specific wishes, Richie was cremated on Tuesday and his ashes were placed in a beautiful stone pyramid urn. Later in the summer they will be scattered across the field where the Woodstock festival took place in 1969 ~Max Yasgur's farm, now Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.
Knowing Richie wanted a party rather than a somber memorial, we have decided to schedule a few public events because, as you all know, Richie considered the world his family, and each and every one of you his friends. We think he'd be just fine with one last tour.
This coming Monday, April 29th, there will be a viewing in New York City at City Winery, located at 155 Varick Street (ph 212 608-0555). This is an informal and unticketed event, however we do ask that you rsvp through City Winery at reservations@citywinery.com if you plan to attend. Any and all are welcome to come say goodbye to Richie. Doors will open at 8pm.
Plans for a memorial concert are also underway, and we will make a few more announcements in the coming days. This will be the only viewing in NYC. We hope you'll join us.

Chrissy Amphlett R.I.P.
Chrissy Amphlett of Australian band the Divinyls,
best known for their hit I Touch Myself, has died aged 53.
Husband and former Divinyls drummer Charley Drayton said the singer died after battling breast cancer and multiple sclerosis.

Hello, this is a courtesy email to let you know that your account will soon be affected by our revised fair use policy. We have determined that your account falls into the category of 'excessive use of system resources'. Therefore new storage limits will soon be applied to your account.
After an audit of accounts on our system, we determined that 98.5% of our customers are storing less than 1TB of data. Unfortunately in current economic conditions it is no longer financially feasible to continue to offer unlimited storage to the remaining 1.5% of users. We are still offering unlimited storage, but if your amount of storage exceeds 1TB, then unused files will be automatically removed until your level reaches less than 1TB.
We understand that this will no doubt upset some people, however 1.5% of users are consuming more than 50% of our total storage space, which is negatively impacting all our other users. Please reduce your amount of storage in order to comply with our new policies. If you do not reduce the amount of storage used, we will automatically begin removing unused files according to this formula.

ALVIN LEE ..R.I.P.
Guitarist Alvin Lee, whose incendiary performance with the British band
Ten Years After was one of the highlights of the 1969 Woodstock festival, has died.
He was 68.
Lee's website says he "passed away early this morning [Wednesday]
after unforeseen complications following a routine surgical procedure."
An assistant to his daughter also confirmed the news.
